** KIZI'S POV **

The next day I woke up feeling as groggy as I felt last night. There were voices all over the room when I opened my eyes. Tuomas was still laying in bed with me with the rest of the band scattered throughout the room. Even Ewo, Wilska and Tero were there. Seeing me open my eyes, Marco was by my side and asking how I felt. I moaned in response making him chuckle slightly. The nurse came in to check on me. My vitals seemed to be good, despite the pain I was in and how groggy I felt, so she checked my wounds before assuring everyone I would be released today.

She left to get the doctor as Marco and Tuomas helped me sit up. Sitting up made me slightly dizzy but Tuomas kept a firm grip on me to make sure I was ok. There was tension in the air although at the present time I didn't know why. When the doctor came in to give me what would be his last check up, everyone sighed with relief hearing I was indeed going to be released and that he thought I wouldn't suffer from any long-term affects from anything that had happened.

Everyone left my room so that Tuomas could help get me dressed. It was quite a feet seeing as how I wasn't really able to do much of anything. Once I was finally dressed, the nurse brought in a wheelchair to help escort me downstairs. Everyone was chatting in Finnish and they all seemed both relieved and angry. There was a long stretch limo waiting for us as I was wheeled out of the hospital. Tuomas had to pick me up bridal style to get me into the limo. I clung to him like a life raft as he sat down.

When I woke up I discovered I was alone in a hotel room. The pain was great but I guess that was expected. I had to be very cautious as I climbed out of bed. There were several voices speaking in Finnish in the next room. It was easy to hear the agitation and worry in their voices. I occured to me we were in a suite. As soon as I opened the door the chatter stopped. Everyone turned to look at me. Tuomas was immediately by my side and ushering me to the only open spot on the couch.

"How are you feeling, Kizi?" Jukka asked as he passed me a bottle of water

"Ugh. What happened?" I questioned

"Oh Rakas, you were attacked. Do you remember anything?" Tuomas asked, kneeling in front of me

Suddenly that night came flooding back and I was helpless to stop the tears. He wrapped his arms gently around my waist and touched his forehead to mine.

"Mike. Yes, it was Mike and 2 of his friends. I.... I remember that." I finally choked out

"Do you remember anything else?" Marco asked

"I left to head back to the hotel. I was grabbing my camera equipment. I didn't make it but about half way when I felt someone grab me. I... I was pulled into the alley." I stuttered

The air tensed even more than it already was and I could feel the anger rising.

"Oh sweetie. It's my fault." Ewo stated, taking a deep breath

"We've gone over this, Ewo, it's not your fault. That prick waited for the right moment then attacked her!" Tuomas stated forcefully

I was so upset I couldn't stop crying. Tuomas finally ushered me back into the room we were sharing after getting a pain pill that had been prescribed. He held me and tried his best to comfort me. I suddenly asked my tall lover what all had happened to me.

"Enkeli, you've got a pretty serious concussion, 2 very nasty cuts on your left arm, some bad bruising on your back, and some bruising and cuts to your pretty face." He quietly told me

"I'm so sorry." I whispered

"Rakkani, you have nothing to apologize for. But just know that we will make him pay for what he did to you. Most Finnish men are pretty reserved and calm. Until you mess with our family. Then we're brutal. Can you tell me anything about him. Where he hangs out, any weaknesses he might have?" Tuomas told me

Thinking for a few minutes I told him everything I knew about Mike. We talked a while longer about things with him kissing me every change he got. His vibe told he how scared and concerned he was and his aura told me how angry he was feeling. However he still seemed to calm me. The pain meds were starting to take effect and I was getting extremely drowsy. He helped me lay down before kissing me passionately.

**FROM THIS POINT IN THIS CHAPTER I WILL BE WRITING IN 3RD PERSON. IT IS MERELY TO HELP EXPRESS THE FEELINGS, EXPERIENCES AND OPINIONS OF THE CHARACTERS TO GIVE YOU GUYS A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IS HAPPENING. OTHERWISE ENJOY**

Tuomas made sure his girlfriend was soundly asleep before walking into the main room of the suite they were sharing with Jukka and Marco. Everyone looked at him expectantly. Sighing heavily, he ran his hand through his long brown hair and told them what Kizi had told him about Mike. They had been talking about the bastard who had attacked the poor girl and it had became a unanimus decision to hunt the fucker down and show him what real men could do.

Marco was infuriated to discover that it had been the creep in the pool who had attacked the young girl who had stolen his keyboardists heart. It had frightened everyone when she returned to the bar 3 nights ago covered in blood, still bleeding and nearly unconscious. Just to know that the little boy whom she used to attend classes with had purposely, and malicously, hurt her had invoked a strong sense of protection and family. When Jukka suggested they hunt down the perpetrator and beat some sense into him, Marco was the first to agree.

Jukka had found himself liking the quiet, shy college student from the moment of the first concert she had recorded from them. She may have been extremely shy but she could talk confidently and happily if you asked her about what she did. He liked her creativity and how she was willing to work with any of them on any sort of project they had in mind. He had started feeling more like a big brother to the young girl and as such felt the attack on her as an attack on his own blood family. He was the one to suggest hunting him down and administering their own brand of justice and was thankfully everyone else had quickly agreed.

Emppu, although he didn't know her quite as well as the others in the band, had quickly grown fond of the American. He was kind of shocked when he began throwing "hurdles" at her as they talked about his training video and she had an answer for everything. Anette had nothing but bad things to say about her so for a long while he kept his distance because of it. Once he had had that conversation with the young girl anything that Anette had told him went out the window. She was like the little sister he never had and wanted to look after her as best as he could.

Ewo didn't know her as well as Tuomas, Marco, and Jukka. He'd known the band for a great many years. In all the time he'd known Tuomas, he'd never seen the creative keyboardist fall so hard or so quickly for someone ever. Tuomas was not the type of person to just fall in love at the drop of a hat! Of course, over the years Tuomas had confessed he'd been having dreams about this one girl. A girl, as he described her, looked exactly like the young American who was on tour with them. He knew as well as Tuomas that she was his soulmate. The girl was friendly, even if a bit shy, and got along with the rest of the band very well. Anette was the only one who didn't like her and for the life of him, he couldn't figure out why. Since the band was very protective over her, he was as well. Besides, he figured, if something happened to her then he wasn't sure Tuomas would ever recover from it.

Their plans could cause them serious problems if they were to ever get caught or even be implicated. Emppu, who was smarter than anyone really gave credit for, suggested they buy ski masks. That sparked the conversation where they also decided to take out any piercings, cover any and all tattoos, and hide their hair. Anything that could be remotely identifiable should be hidden. Now that they knew who had commited the act of violence, their anger surged. Kizi had given them some valuable information and they planned on putting it to good use.

They found the bar they were looking for and sent in Jukka to scout it out just to make sure the little weasel was there. About 10 minutes later the drummer emerged from the bar and told his group that the boy was indeed there and drinking heavily. He also stated that he seemed to be bragging about beating the living hell out of Kizi. The anger felt by all 7 men was nothing like they'd ever experienced before. This cocky little boy was bragging about beating a woman and cutting her deeply twice that she almost bled to death?! It took a whole lot of will power to just hide in the shadows of the alley to wait the punk to emerge. Sometime around 2 am the bar started closing down.

Much to the groups delight, he walked straight into the alley to relieve himself. Ewo grabbed him and shoved him as hard as he could into the wall. It confused the drunk boy which was to the Finns' advantage. Ewo turned him around so that he was facing the large group. Tuomas stepped up and punched him with every ounce of energy he had, consequently breaking the boy's nose with one hit. One by one, each of the 7 Finnish men took their turns beating the shit out of the kid.

It was almost nauseating to hear bones break. All in all the kid wound up with the broken nose Tuomas had given him, a broken arm curtousy of Marco, a broken leg from Wilska, a broken rib or 2 from Jukka, various cuts from a sharp pointy object due to Emppu. Even Tero and Ewo played their parts by keeping watch for "intruders". They made sure not to hurt so much that he would die but he would most definitely spend some time in the local hospital. When they were finished with him they all had some blood on them from the brutal beating they'd given. It didn't make them feel bad when the boy started coughing up a little bit of blood.

They took off the ski masks, put their piercings back in, and let their hair down. Before leaving the alley, they all made sure to wipe any traces of blood from the parts of their skin that was visible. The last thing they needed was to be stopped by the police because of seeing blood on one of them! It didn't take them long to arrive back at their hotel. They dispered to their own rooms to get cleaned up. While Tuomas was showering, Marco called down to room service to have a quick meal brought up. They wanted to calm themselves down after the adrenaline and anger that had encompassed the entire group!

Well, now that that's settled...what happens next?

** KIZI'S POV **

I woke up sometime in the middle of the night and Tuomas wasn't next to me. Very carefully I wandered to the living room to find it dark and empty. It scared me something fierce but I tried very hard to not freak out. My bandages had soaked through but I couldn't change them by myself. Eventually I went back to our room and tried to go to sleep. Hearing noises in the main room freaked me out slightly, especially when the door to my room began to slowly open. Relief washed over me as I realized it Tuomas coming in.

He rushed over to check on me. Seeing my soaked bandages, he got the medical supplies to change them for me. He tenderly kissed me before telling me he was going to take a quick shower. I nodded at him before laying back down. He showered quickly and returned to me. All I wanted was him, his kisses, the warmth of his body, his arms protectively circling me. He gave me a smile as he walked out into the common room and came back with a plate of hot wings, celery sticks, carrot sticks, and ranch dressing.

After shutting the door he sat down and offered me some of the tasty hot wings. I ate most of the celery & carrots but only maybe 2 of the wings. He didn't seem to mind. Once he was finished with his meal, and after brushing his teeth, he settled into bed as well cautiously wrapping his arms around me. I'm not sure he got much sleep but between his warm embrace and the pain meds I slept in a very deep sleep.

I woke up the next morning to the smells of bacon and coffee. There was a small kitchen in the suite so I hoped one of the guys had been kind enough to make breakfast instead of going out for it. I used the restroom first before making my way into the main room. Tuomas was sitting on the couch talking to someone on the phone in Finnish. Marco was helping, at least I think that's what he was doing, Jukka who was flipping what looked like small pancakes. Bacon and sausage had already been cooked and there was a jug of orange juice sitting out. Tuomas waved me over so I quietly made my way to sit next to him.

He wrapped his arm around my shoulder as I laid my head on his shoulder. He laughed at whatever the person told him. His laughter made me smile. Marco turned to ask Tuomas something but saw me and smiled. He asked how I was feeling today. I was till kind of groggy and tired but it was better than yesterday. He nodded in understanding and then handed me a plate of the pancake looking things with bacon and sausage. Shortly after that I was handed a glass of orange juice and some syrup.

I was slowly eating my breakfast when Emppu came into the room frantic and angry. The rest of the guys sort of looked at him funny. Even Tuomas had ended his phone call to see what the tiniest bandmember was yapping about. Of course it was all in Finnish so I didn't understand a single word of their conversation.

"Hän fucking tiesi! " Emppu stated causing everyone to look at him with confused expressions

{TRANSLATION: She fucking knew! }

"Kuka tiesi minkä? Mistä haukahdat? " Marco questioned

{TRANSLATION: Who knew what? What are you yapping about? }

"Anette! Hän käveli kujan ohi, kun heikko Kizi oli on hyökkäsi kun hän teki häntä paljon baariin! " The little guy stated, jumping around angrily

{TRANSLATION: Anette! She walked past the alley when poor Kizi was being attacked as she was making her way to the bar! }

"Odota, odota odottaa! Jos Anette näki mikä transpiredin sitten miksi hän ei kertonut yhtä meistä, kun hän pääsee baarin? " Jukka questioned making the small blond man stop and look at him

{TRANSLATION: Wait, wait wait! If Anette saw what transpired then why didn't she tell one of us when she got to the bar? }

"En tiedä! Mene kysyy häneltä! " Emppu replied almost solemnly

{TRANSLATION: I don't know! Go ask her! }

Tuomas snaked his left arm around my wait and pulled me closer to him. Something was happening but I didn't know what. There was plenty of anger in the room. My Finnish lover made sure I finished my breakfast citing the fact that I hadn't had much to eat the last few days. I was still pretty weak so I really had no energy to fight him. Besides, he was only trying to look after me and I greatly appreciated the gesture. I was so busy concentrating on eating that I didn't realize everyone had left the suite.

They had a show tonight and then we'd be off to the next venue. In about 3 weeks we'd be heading back to Finland for a week or so. Tuomas told me that he had been talking to his mother who, from what he told me, was looking forward to meeting me. I blushed but still smiled. He had been talking to his parents about me? Don't people do that when they're serious about their significant other?!

"Kizi?" He quietly asked before kissing my cheek

"Yeah?" I replied, nuzzling my face as best as I could into his neck

"I was so scared the other night. When Wilska told me something had happened to you. All I could think of was that I couldn't lose you." He all but whispered into my ear

"When I was in the alley, and they produced the knife, I thought I was never going to see you again. That got to me more than anything else. I guess that's why I stumbled back to the bar. If I was going to die, I wanted your face to be the last thing I ever saw." I confessed, bringing tears to both our eyes

"I didn't realize until that moment just how much I...... love you." He replied, kissing me lightly on the lips

"I've never been in love before. But I think I love you too." I breathed, "No, no. I know I love you. You were the only thing on my mind. I just wanted to be in your arms, to see your face."

He kissed me again before the group returned. Everyone seemed pissed but kind of cooled their engines when they saw me and Tuomas so wrapped up in one another. Before long Ewo came in and said that they needed to get to the venue to do interviews and such. We were checking out so I had to go get dressed. Of course Tuomas helped me get into a pair of black lounge pants and a white tank. Slipping into a pair of flops, he threw my jammies into my bag and helped me out of the room. The plan was that I would just stay on the bus to rest since I was still kind of groggy. The band would be boarding the bus after the show anyways so it was working out ok.

** KIZI'S POV **



A/N: I do not know the name of Marco's wife or twin boys, Anette's husband or son, or Emppu's sister (if he has one). The only names I know for sure is Jukka's wife and children. Please don't yell at me if I got them wrong!

We had just flown into Helsinki and were gathering our bags. Anette's husband and son had come to pick her up while Emppu's sister Alli was here to pick him up. Marco's wife, Eija, was here without their boys. Jukka's wife, Satu, was here to get him and she didn't bring their kids either. I was nervous because not only was I getting to spend some real quality time alone with Tuomas but I was meeting his parents as well. He still lived with them, which was fine by me, since it was kind of crazy for him to have a house when he's hardly there!

"Hunaja, katsoo hyvin." I heard this sweet old woman exclaim

{TRANSLATION: Honey, you're looking well. }

"Äiti!" Tuomas happily replied

{TRANSLATION: Mom! }

I watched as they happily embraced. She was genuinely happy to see him as he was to see her. A small pang of jealousy hit me as I watched the happy family reunion.

"This must be Kizi! How are you, sweetie?" She asked, finally turning to me

"I'm good, Ma'am." I stated as she pulled me into a hug

"No need for the 'Ma'am' business. Call me Mom." She stated as we made our way to an awaiting car.

Her husband, who wanted me to call him Dad, was sitting in the car awaiting for us. Tuomas put all our bags in the trunk before helping me into the back seat. His parents just chatted away about the tour so far with him. It was kind of endearing to see how much his parents were interested in him and what was going on with him. We stopped at Chili's which made him protest.

His mother just waved her hand and he quickly quieted his protests. He smiled at me before grabbing my hand and leading me inside. I could definitely see the family resemblance! He looked so much like his father it was unreal!! We sat down at a comfy booth with his parents sitting across from us. I'm not sure if he sensed my nervousness but he either rested his arm around my shoulders or on my knee. The simple gestures definitely made me more at ease.

His parents wanted to know all about me which made me giggle. They fired question after question at me and I answered them the best I could. Tuomas finally stepped in and told them that I had a very rough childhood and had bounced around the foster care system. They didn't have anything like that in Finland so he had to explain to them. It was rough having to explain alot of my childhood to his parents but they didn't seem to pity me.

I found that I actually really liked his parents. They were funny, sympathetic, and intelligent. She promised that she'd teach me to cook Finnish cuisine and I promised to cook for them one night before left to go back out on the road. Tuomas then had to brag about some of the work I've done for them. I blushed at his bragging but his parents seemed genuinely interested in seeing some of my work.

We had a long drive ahead of us which was spent chatting away.

Marco had called Tuomas and as they were chatting about who knows what, his mother started asking me about how I'd come to the band and how Tuomas and I had started dating. She seemed proud of how her son behaved and that he was the only one who really took to trying to help me when I had nightmares and such. Giggling I told her that he had been nothing but a gentleman to me and that I'd never had anyone treat me as well as he did.

"Marco and the guys want to know if we want to go to sauna." He told me

"Um...." I trailed, having never been in a sauna and knew nothing of the rituals and customs in Finland

"It'll be fine. You ladies will have the sauna to yourselves first. You can get to know Marco and Jukka's wives and the Hobbit's sister." He chuckled

"The Hobbit?" I questioned, having never heard that nickname before

"Emppu. It's customary here in Finland to take sauna at least once a week. It's something we really do miss while out on the road!" Tuomas informed me

"Well, I guess I can't argue with ritual." I stated, feeling uneasy

His mother explained the custom of "taking sauna" to me, including the fact that I would be completely naked in front of these other 3 women. It made me slightly uneasy but Tuomas leaned over and whispered that I would be fine. There's nothing sexual to it and there's no judgements in the sauna. It's just a socializing occassion. It eased some of the unease but not all. He called Marco back and told them wher to meet us.

We finally made it to their house, with his mother, Kirsti, giving me the grand tour. She told me to just put my bags in Tuomas' room since she figured I'd wind up in there anyways. I blushed madly, understanding what she was getting at. Tuomas had be grab my bathing suit and get ready since we needed to be the first ones to where we were going. His father, Pentti, just nodded as we left the house. Apparently everyone else were bringing the drinks since we were going to his sauna. Of course to get there, we needed to hop into his boat and go across this gorgeous lake to the island that he owned.

It wasn't too bad. It wasn't anything I'm used to. As he prepared the sauna I just kind of walked around a bit taking pictures and taking my surroundings in. Eventually he found me and wrapped his arms around my shoulders as he stood behind me. It's easy to see why he loves this place so much! We didn't need to speak, we just enjoyed the scenery and each other's company. Sometime later his phone began ringing. He had to leave me to go pick up the rest of our group. I was nervous at meeting these ladies, afraid I wouldn't fit in with their group either.

On his first return trip, he dropped off Marco and Eija. The viking introduced us and I found that she was very friendly. It didn't take long to bring Jukka and Satu to the island. The percussionist introduced me to his wife before she greeted Eija. I started taking pictures of the group since I seemed to be the odd-man out. I was very thankful when Tuomas arrived with Emppu and Alli. She seemed to take to me pretty well and before long I was more at ease than when I was asked to do this. Us ladies headed to the sauna, having to strip down in this little room next to it, before wrapping towels around ourselves and actually making our way INTO the sauna.

"So, Jukka tells me you and Tuomas are an item." Satu stated when there seemed to be a lull in the conversation

I blushed before answering, "Yes."

"I think you two look cute together!" Alli giggled

"I've never met anyone like him before." I gushed suddenly

"And you probably never will!" Eija laughed

"How are you getting along with Anette?" Satu questioned

I sighed heavily as I tried to find the right words. I didn't want to offend anyone, especially if any of these ladies were friends with her.

"From day one she's had a problem with me but I have no idea why." I finally told the group

"What?! She doesn't like you?" Alli exclaimed

"No. The rest of the band do, I guess, but she and I have had problems. We even got into a fist fight once." I replied

"Jukka told me about that. He said you kicked her ass!" Satu giggled as she sipped a glass of red wine

Everyone had a glass of the sweet, red wine to sip on.

"I wouldn't say THAT. And I really hated getting into a physical confrontation but I'd had enough of her." I told the trio

We talked about my problems with Anette, my relationship with Tuomas, my whole history, what I was studying in college, Finland, their families, his family, and other Finnish customs. Before I knew it, the guys were telling us we'd been in there for 2 hours! We all laughed as we wrapped our towels around ourselves allowing the guys to take their turn. Each man kissed his woman, with the exception of Emppu, before entering the sauna. Us girls ran down to the lake and jumped in to cool off. Of course we did put our bathing suits back on before doing so!

These ladies were definitely cool and I sincerely liked talking with them. Maybe I would fit in with this crowd afterall! The 4 of us were having a blast in the water when all the guys came running at us. We squeeled but were laughing too. Tuomas immediately found his way to me. I wrapped my arms around his neck before he ducked us underwater. When we came back to the surface I was giggling. Seeing me so relaxed and happy seemed to make him happy too.

** KIZI'S POV **

We finally made it back to his house where his mother was starting dinner. He let me take a shower first which I thought was really sweet. Knowing he still needed to clean up too, I showered as quickly as I could before changing into a pair of slim black slacks and a cute little top. He had to kiss me before getting clean himself. While he was otherwise preoccupied, I wandered into the kitchen to see if his mother needed any help. She was so kind and told me all about what she was cooking and about Finnish cuisine.

I was slicing potatoes for her when Tuomas came downstairs in a pair of tight jeans, no shoes or socks, and no shirt. I damn near cut my finger because I was trying to continue my work and stare at him at the same time! He seemed really.... I don't know.... he seemed to like the fact that I was helping his mother with dinner and anything else she needed. He stayed in the kitchen chatting with her while I continued the tasks she'd asked me to do. This, whether it was because it was him or something else, just felt right. Is this what a real family is like?

His mother was so easy to talk to and I found myself not so ashamed of myself. She told me something that really struck me. How people turn out is not always 'nurture', sometimes it's 'nature'. Some people are just naturally stronger and tend to come out on top and adapt to the situation no matter what is thrown at them. She thought I was one of those people and that was a great asset. Tuomas eventually wandered to where his father was at.

"How are you feeling about Tuomas?" She asked, seeing me stare after him as he left the kitchen

I blushed.

"I've never had a boyfriend before. I was always the one everyone picked on and made fun. I've never really had friends because of, well everything." I started out, "But he.... he's shown me things I never really thought existed. He's shown me what it's like to really be cared about, what having a true friend is. He's just.... I think.."

"You love him." She stated

"I... I don't know. I've never really known what love was." I stated sadly

"Trust me, I can tell. You love him and I know he loves you." She confessed

I looked at her in shock which made the older woman chuckle softly. She gave me a soft smile.

"Well, you have a home whenever you need somewhere to stay. Have you thought of moving to Finland?" She asked

"Not really." I stated, sprinkling cheese on my freshly sliced potatoes

"You don't have a 'home' back in the States, correct? You live on campus?" She questioned

"Yes, I live on campus. I bounced around in foster care my whole life so I can't even move back in with my guardians after I graduate." I replied, placing the glass pan in the open oven

"My offer still stands, sweetie. I know Tuomas would love it if you moved here. We'll always have a room for you if you need it." She told me before pulling me into a hug

"It's easy to see where he gets his generosity from." I giggled

We talked more while we finished up dinner. Before long it was time to set the table. She started bringing the food as I finished setting the dinnerware out. I was bringing the last of the food to the table when she called her husband and son for dinner. Tuomas had to give me a kiss before we sat down to this incredible meal. Maybe his mother was right. I really did love him. After dinner they sat down to play some weird card game. I simply sat back and watched with amusement.

After his parents went to bed, we stayed up just talking. We talked about my first time in the sauna, how I liked his bandmates wives and sister, his parents, their house, the beautiful country, the offer his mother had made, among other things. Finnish men may not show their emotions but he sure as hell did. Thinking for a few minutes, he stated that it would actually be better for me to be living in Finland due to not having to fly half way around the world for work, or him, and that he would pay for any moving costs if I decided to take his mother up on her offer.

Sighing, I told him I really didn't have much to ship over. He told me I should contact my instructor, who was holding the few boxes of belongs I had, to set up having my stuff shipped to their home. I giggled as he began to nibble on my neck while I mulled things over. What WAS keeping me in the states? I'd never fit in with anyone there. I sure as hell didn't have any family or friends there. I didn't have a home there. He did make a good point though. My work, my job, my bosses, were all in Finland. It would be crazy to have to commute half way around the world for work!

As I started yawning, he suggested we head up to bed because he wanted to take me around to see Helsink tomorrow. I smiled up at him as he ushered me upstairs and into his bedroom. Grabbing my jammies, I headed into the bathroom to change for bed while he stripped down into his boxers. He had already turned down the covers of his very soft looking queen sized bed. Climbing into bed I found myself immediately wrapped up in his arms. I nuzzled my face in his neck and simply breathed in the scent that was him.

Sweet of Tuomas' mother to offer her a home.

** KIZI'S POV **

The smell of coffee, bacon and pancakes wafted to my nose rousing me from my sleep. As my brain kicked on I realized I was alone in bed. It made me pout but I figured he was probably spending some quality time with his parents. I took a quick shower, dressing in a pair of holy jeans, a black and purple corset and my combats. Nothing too drastic! As I made my way downstairs I heard anothe woman talking in Finnish.

"Pidätkö niin todella hänestä, äiti? " The woman said

{TRANSLATION: So you really like her, Mom? }

"Oi hän on absoluuttinen kulta! Hänellä oli sievä karkea lapsuus, mistä hän kertoi minulle, mutta on niin alas maadoittaa ja mukava puhua!" His mother replied

{TRANSLATION: Oh she's an absolute sweetheart! She had a pretty rough childhood, from what she told me, but is so down to earth and nice to talk to! }

"Ajatteletko, että se kestää? Viime nainen, joka hän tapaili oli täydellistä tömähdystä!" The other woman stated

{TRANSLATION: Do you think it'll last? The last woman he dated was a total tramp!}

"Absoluuttisesti! Voin helposti nähdä kaksi niistä naivat ja minulle antaminen useita lapsenlapsia! Isäsi ajattelee, että hän on ihastuttava." The older woman told the younger one

{TRANSLATION: Absolutely! I can easily see the two of them married and giving me several grandchildren! Your father thinks she's adorable. }

"Missä on isi?" The younger woman said

{TRANSLATION: Where is daddy at? }

"Tuomas tarvitsi puhua hänellä. " The lady of the house replied

{TRANSLATION: Tuomas needed to speak with him. }

I finally entered the kitchen smiling. Bidding my good morning to Tuomas' mother, she introduced me to his older sister, Birgitta. We said our hellos before I asked if there was anything I could do. His mother smiled at me and said I could set the table if I was so inclined. His sister was watching me like a hawk as if she were trying to figure me out. After setting the table for 5, I started cleaning off the counters where his mother had been preparing breakfast. His sister began asking me questions which I answered as truthfully as I could.

Since breakfast still had a little while before being done, I went to grab my laptop to show both ladies some of my work. They were both impressed which made me happy. We were chatting about some of the projects I'd done when Tuomas and his father entered the kitchen. I greeted his father cordially and was grateful when he returned my greeting. I wasn't sure if he liked me or not! Once breakfast was finished, I helped his mother get everything to the table. Birgitta still seemed to watch me closely and it kind of creeped me out.

After breakfast, and helping his mother clean up, Tuomas told everyone he was stealing me for the day. I grabbed my camera case before following the tall Finn out to his Toyota Land Cruiser (this is his car because he himself said so in an interview here, it's close to the bottom of the page). He kept looking over at me and it was starting to creep me out. It almost made me jump out of my skin when he suddenly grabbed my hand and laced our fingers together.

"I must tell you. My parents have taken quite the liking to you." He suddenly told me

"Really? I didn't think your father liked me at all!" I nervously chuckled

"No, they both do. Finnish men don't usually show their emotions. Mom absolutely adores you!" He stated, kissing my hand

I blushed at his remarks and went back to staring out the window. This really was beautiful country! Giggling, I made him promise to take me around so I could get some photos of the wilderness and such. He chuckled and promised me we'd go out and "see the land". The 3 hour trip to Helsinki (I'm not entirely sure exactly how long a drive it is from Kitee to Helsinki so I'm making it up; if you know, please tell me!) was spent talking about my photography, shopping, food, and more about me moving to Finland.

By the time we made into the capital city, we were both hungry again. Must be all that talking we had done. That and the long chat about food. He took me to this quaint little cafe which I thought was adorable. Lunch was incredible! The food was divine, our conversation flowed so easily, the atmosphere was great! We walked through the streets, with me stopping to take photos of the buildings, the shadows, scenery, and various objects. He took me into different stores where of course I found all sorts of clothes I fell in love with.

This city was magnificent! He seemed to like watching me as I really discovered the city for the very first time. My enthusiasm seemed to rub off on him and he couldn't quit smiling either. Much to my delight, we stopped in front of some very nice spots and had passersby to take pictures of us. Like this one amazing fountain in Kaisaniemi Park, which is located behind the National Theatre, found here. I was in heaven! It was such a clean, beautiful city and I never wanted to leave! If I wasn't convinced to move here with all the excellent reasons Tuomas had given me, seeing this city was enough!

We did a little more shopping, I took more photos, he had a few more people taking photos of us, he showed me more sights. Before long it was time for us to head back to his home. As we were walking to where we had parked, his phone began ringing. He was talking with his mother who then got to talking about food and what to do about dinner. I offered to cook for the family which seemed to take him off guard. He repeated my offer to his mother who seemed to be excited to see what I would make for them.

As we made the long drive back to their home, we talked about food and what I would make for them. Their diet was a bit different from mine but they were willing to try anything I cooked for them. It made me nervous, especially with the cultural differences, but I sincerely hoped they would like my cuisine. Something in me wanted to impress his family and this was one way I hoped to do that. I wanted to show his family that I was more than capable of taking care of Tuomas like he so deserved.

By the time we returned to their home, his sister had already left. I was carrying my bags in but he decided to carry all of them up to his room. His mom had followed me into the kitchen. We talked about what I would cook while Tuomas was doing who-knows-what. I finally decided on what to make and set out to begin my prep. His mother and I talked while I made dinner about me moving to Finland. I even told her what her son had been discussing with me about moving. She said that it was a great idea and that was enough for me. I made my decision.

Edit: After looking at the directions on how to get to Helsinki from Kitee, I think I'd get lost in a matter of minutes.

Holy shit that's a long distance! Maybe we'll find a house about half way between the 2! That way it's not too far from either direction, hehe.
