The trip to ER was very odd for the 2 Finns. They weren't used to what the girl sitting between them were going through. She sat between the 2 men shaking, very dizzy, and wondered what was going to happen next. None of the other bands had ever done what they did tonight. It only showed her how violent everyone seemed to be and she was afraid of them both. Tuomas really did a number on her boyfriend and she figured it would only be a matter of time before he did the same to her. Before long she was escorted to a room, which both Finns followed her, and then after having to change into a paper thin hospital gown was wheeled down to have some X-Rays done.

Tuomas had said something to the doctor and she couldn't help but wonder what it was. The x-ray technician gave her a sad smile and told her all about the numerous x-rays she was about to have taken of her. They weren't just taking x-rays of her face this time but of her whole body. It made her wonder why. Every other time she'd come to the ER they only took x-rays of the part of her body that broken. What had changed? Almost 45 minutes later she was wheeled back into the room she'd been assigned to find that the 2 Finns were still there and looked sort of anxious.

They were frantic to know everything about the poor girl. Tuomas had begun to wonder how long these "fights" between Evan and Divinity had been going on. Surely tonight wasn't the first time as she seemed genuinely scared of the thin man. After she had been wheeled away for x-rays he looked at his friend and bandmate and said that perhaps witnessing the beating they'd given her boyfriend might have scared her from them too. The drummer frowned, hoping the taller man wasn't right. They didn't want to scare her, only Evan, because they really weren't a violent group of people.

Upon seeing her wheeled back in, Jukka helped the girl onto the uncomfortable exam table to await the doctor to see her. Both men watched her closely, still unable to comprehend how a man could raise his hand to someone he supposedly cared about. That was something that all Finnish men were taught at a very early age, "you never hit a woman you care about or love, it's not something a man does, son." both men could clearly hear their fathers saying to them. She sat there looking at her feet, not knowing what to do. Something deep down said that Tuomas wouldn't hit her like Evan did. He had not once raised his voice in anger towards her, raised his hand towards her, but seemed to want to know about her. There was something in his eyes that spoke volumes to her even if she didn't want to admit it. Suddenly Tuomas received a text:

How is she doing? M
Had x-rays, still waiting for doc. T
Let us know, we're all worried. She should stay with 1 of us @ the hotel & on our bus any other time. M
I agree. Lets get her thru this doc visit 1st. T

Jukka looked at his friend. Tuomas stated that everyone wanted to know how she was because they were worried about her. She looked over at him with a kind of confused expression. Why were his band worried about her? It's not like this is the first time she'd ever been to the ER. Both men gave her an affectionate look but that only confused her more.

"Will you tell us who slit your throat?" Tuomas suddenly, and quietly, asked her

Tears sprung to her eyes. She didn't want to rat her boyfriend out but she was tired of lying to everyone, tired of hiding the bruises, cuts, burns, welts.

"Evan did it, didn't he?" Jukka suddenly stated making her snap her head up and look at him

He saw the pain, shame, and embarrassment in her eyes that she felt and it broke his heart all over again.

"You have nothing to be ashamed of, Kulta, it's not your fault." Tuomas stated, standing up and moving to sit next to her on the table

Jukka moved to stand in front of her. She didn't flinch this time when either of them touched her, although, Tuomas was sure it was because she just didn't have any energy left to do much of anything. He wrapped his arm around her waist causing to wince in pain. It broke his heart to know that this had been going on under their nose and they never figured it out before now. It hurt him to know she was hurting and he couldn't do anything about it. Jukka rested his hands on her legs and just watched her. After what seemed like forever, the doctor finally came in to do a physical exam. He asked the 2 men to stand outside while he examined the girl which made both men furrow their brows.

They did as they were asked and impatiently waited right outside the curtain of her ER room. The nurses gave them sad smiles as she walked passed them. The doctor did a very thorough exam, asking questions about what had happened not only tonight but in the past few weeks. She relented and "told" about what her boyfriend had done, making sure to let the doc know that neither man she was here with was her boyfriend. He called the nurse in to help him stitch up the deep-ish cut on her forehead from where she was thrown into the mirror. When he was done, he let the 2 men back into the room.

"Her nose is broken but she won't need a traditional cast for it. She's got some deep muscle bruising so she'll be pretty sore for the next few weeks. There's some mild internal bleeding but that will correct itself. She has 2 ribs with hair line fractures but they'll mend on their own if she doesn't suffer any more abuse. I'm concerned for her because she has signs of long-term physical abuse. If you can, please take her out of that environment. I'm prescribing some pain medication and an anti-inflammatory." The doctor told the pair of men

"Is there anything else we need to know?" Tuomas asked, Finnish accent very thick

"I don't believe so. I'm releasing her into your care. I'll have the nurse get you all the information you need." He stated before turning to the girl, "Take care of yourself."

She hated being on display like this. She most certaintly didn't want them to find out all her problems. Soon the nurse came by with information on her fractured ribs and internal bleeding. She told them all she needed to know about the stitches and medication the doctor had prescribed. Both men thanked her for their assistance before she left. They turned around so she could redress herself. It took a few minutes but she finally got herself dressed and tapped the table. Tuomas cautiously turned to make sure she was ok and smiled seeing her dressed. Their next stop was getting her medications filled.

When they made it back to the hotel they headed straight for Tuomas' room. Marco and Emppu's door was open so that they could see when the trio returned. Immediately they followed their bandmates to Tuomas' room. The tall keyboardist told her to slip out of her shoes and get comfortable on the bed. Marco watched as she cautiously did as she was told. Jukka explained to the bassist and guitarist what the ER doc had told them. Divinity looked at her hands in embarassment and shame. It angered everyone all over again to hear what the doc had discovered!

She just sat there, not able to look at anyone. Anette had retreated to the safety of her room, calling her husband. If she didn't respect or appreciate her him before she sure as hell did now! She told her significant other all about Divinity and Evan and confessed how she had felt at what she'd witnessed. Her husband did his best, over the phone mind you, to comfort her and ease the pain she was feeling. Marco had called down to room service and explained that 3 of comrades had spent all evening at the ER and would be very appreciative if they could get something eat. The women he talked was very kind and told the viking she'd make sure they got what they wanted.

She sat on the bed while the four Finnish men sat around talking in their language. Her whole world felt like it had dropped out from under her. She had been with Evan for more than 5 years, with all but about 6 months of their relationship being abusive. Even before Evan her step-father had been the same way. It was just about the only way of life she'd ever known. A knock at the door made her jump. Marco had quickly gotten up to answer the door as Jukka, who was the closest to her, moved to check on her. She gave the brunette a weak smile as Marco led the food cart into the room.

Tuomas made her a plate and handed it to her. She just looked at him funny but he told her she needed to eat. Jukka sat down on her left and the band leader sat down on her right. She wasn't wanting to eat, after the events of the evening, she didn't feel like she really deserved to eat. A trick she had learned years ago was to eat a few bites then scatter the rest around the plate to make it look like she'd eaten more than she did. Although she tried this trick, Tuomas was a very observant man and stated that she really did need to eat more because she needed her strength. Divinity pouted making the tall Finn laugh softly before pointing to her plate.

No one had ever been so observant, or cared for that matter, in how much she ate. He was different alright but she was still unsure if that was a good thing or not. Even Jukka seemed to be keeping a close watch on the young woman.

"So Divinity, what's your favorite kind of food to cook?" Marco suddenly stated, trying to not only ease the silence in the room but ease the girl's obvious tension

"I'll cook anything." She meekly mouthed

The bearded viking chuckled softly before replying, "Dear, I asked what YOU liked to cook."

She felt a blush hit her cheeks and she looked away from him instinctively but mouthed, "Mexican and Italian."

"Nice. Hopefully tomorrow the bus will be finished with the upgrades and you can really show us your skills!" Emppu stated happily

The youngest person in the room just looked at the blond guitarist strangely. They still wanted her on tour with them? As if reading her mind, Tuomas stated that despite what had went down with Evan they still wanted her on tour doing what she had been doing, only this time she'd get paid directly from the band! It still confused her, why were they being so nice? No one is ever like this without wanting something in return. After their meal, Marco and Emppu decided to head off to bed but not before giving Divinity a friendly hug. She was still uneasy with these people and quite afraid of Evan's retaliation.

Once everyone but Jukka had left Tuomas tried to make Divinity as comfortable as possible. It was close to 4am and everyone was very tired. Tuomas couldn't allow himself to succumb to sleep until he was sure she was sleeping soundly. He told her she could sleep in one bed and he'd take the other. She seemed a bit relieved she wouldn't have to sleep in bed with him, even if she didn't want to admit to herself she found him attractive, because in her mind she was still with Evan. Jukka helped her out of her shoes and turned down the covers for her before getting her a glass of water and setting her prescriptions on the nightstand next to the water.

She was so exhausted she fell into a deep sleep only a few minutes after laying down. The light was still on and the 2 men sat on the other bed chatting quietly in their language. They were trying to figure out what their next course of action was going to be regarding Divinity and Evan. Marco had called Ewo to let their manager and friend know that the band was officially letting Evan go due to personal differences. The pair talked about upping security in case he tries to come around and do something. Of course Jukka had to kid the older man about how he'd almost beat the face off the kid! As both started yawning, Tuomas bid his friend good night and stripped down for bed himself.

The next afternoon he woke up and discovered she wasn't in bed. He began to panic wondering what had happened to her. Jumping out of bed he was about to grab his phone when he heard the shower running. Taking a deep breath he sat down on the edge of his bed and ran his hands through his long hair. She thought he was still sleeping so she took the chance to dart out into the room to gather her clothes with her towel wrapped firmly around her body. Seeing him awake and sitting at the foot of his bed made her stop dead in her tracks. The blush that rose to her cheeks made him smile when he saw her.

"I.... I'm sorry." She mouthed, fearing his reaction

"Um, you need your clothes, huh?" He stated, tearing his eyes away from the shivering girl by the bathroom

She nodded her head yes and was very grateful when he handed them to her without a harsh word spoken. They stood there staring at one another until a loud knock was heard at the door. She quickly darted into the bathroom and he went to see who was at the door. No suprise he found Jukka standing there with Marco. He moved to let the pair in before slipping into a pair of jeans. He was pacing slightly awaiting Divinity to exit the bathroom.

"Would you 2 like to join us for lunch?" Marco asked as soon as she walked into the room

"Coffee would be excellent." Tuomas replied

Before she could respond her stomach began making noises. It was nearly 2pm and, although both had basically slept from the time they laid down, they were both still pretty tired. It was no suprise, Tuomas had exuded lots of energy in pure rage, and what she went through was simply draining in itself. She looked at the 3 men who were looking at her. The realization that these were the only people she had left in the world suddenly hit her and she just stared between Tuomas and Jukka.

She was situated with Marco on her left, Jukka in front of her and Tuomas in front of Marco. Everyone was silent as they looked over the menus. Once the waitress had brought their drinks and gotten their orders Marco turned towards the young girl. She fidgeted with the paper from her straw while the 3 Finnish men watched her.

"Divinity, I need to know about why you can't speak." Marco quietly stated

She looked over to Jukka and then to Tuomas before taking a deep breath and mouthing 'Evan'. The bearded viking didn't seem to understand which made her furrow her brows slightly. As the waitress walked by, Jukka asked if she'd bring a few sheets of paper and a pen. A few minutes later she brought said items for Divinity to write her answers.

"It's ok, Kulta, we're just trying to help you." Tuomas quietly told the frightened girl

She wrote down 'Evan' on the paper and hung her head.

"Ok. Now I know the next few questions are going to be very hard. I'm not trying to upset you or bring up bad memories. These are things I need to know." Marco told the girl

She nodded in understanding before taking a deep breath.

"How long were you and Evan together?" The bearded man asked

She held up 5 fingers. When he asked months she shook her head no. He then asked years and she nodded yes. Jukka wanted to wrap his arms around her when she bit her lip nervously.

"Was this your first trip to the emergency room?" Marco tenderly asked

She shook her head no, unable to look any of them in the eye or even their face. Admitting this "out loud" really started getting to her and she started fighting the tears.

"How many times has he injured you enough that you had to visit the ER?" Marco asked, giving her hand a light squeeze in reassurance

It took them all aback when she sat there in thought, counting off ER visits on her hands. It angered Tuomas more than he cared to admit knowing she had been in this horrible relationship for so long. What would have happened if Evan hadn't gotten the job as one of their roadies?! Finally she wrote down a number which made Marco stop and look at her. His stare, knowing it was a mixture of shock and bewilderment, made her eyes water again. This time she couldn't stop the tears from falling. Tuomas made the bassist switch places with him so that he could try and comfort her.

"Shh, Kulta, you're safe now. You don't have to see him any more." Tuomas whispered in her ear

"Can you tell me what sort of injuries you've sustained?" Marco hesitantly questioned

She nodded as she sniffled and began writing down everything she remembered. Seeing her this upset really got to both Jukka and Tuomas. Marco hated seeing her upset like she was and really hated knowing it was him who was making her upset. These were questions that really needed to be answered as he worked to protect the poor girl whom they were all feeling over-protective over. As Marco read over the injuries she'd listed, he looked at her and then back down to what she'd written. Jukka noticed how angry their bassist seemed to be and wondered why.

"Divinity I really, really hate asking this but it is something we need to know. I understand this is all very hard for you and I want to extend my sincerest apologies. My next question is if he's ever sexually assaulted you." The long, blond haired man asked making both his bandmates look to her as she answered

Tears flowed silently down her cheeks as she slowly nodded her head yes. Jukka balled and unballed his fists while Tuomas did his best to stay calm. The keyboardist wrapped his right arm around her shoulders and pulled her to him.

"Ok, sweetie, I won't ask any more quetions right now. You did very well, thank you." Marco stated, unable to continue asking questions seeing how upset she had gotten

Jukka made sure she ate knowing Tuomas was more lost in her pain and suffering at the moment. She did her best to eat, knowing all 3 men were watching, but she couldn't eat but maybe half of her meal. As they were sitting there, with the men finishing their lunch, Tuomas got a call telling him they would be leaving in 4 hours. He informed his group and then asked if she wanted to go do some proper grocery shopping. She sniffled and then nodded her head yes after a few minutes. He smiled down at her and as they made their way out of the hotel restaraunt, Jukka offered to tag along. Tuomas was grateful and besides he knew how attracted to the girl his bandmate was.

They bid Marco goodbye and proceeded to find a cab to take them to the nearest grocery store. Both men stuck very close to her. Even in the cab, the pair sat, squishing her in between them. She didn't jerk away from them and that made the Finnish men happy. Before long they had arrived at the specified designation. Tuomas held his hand out for Divinity to take in an attempt at showing chivalry. She blushed but took the offered hand anyways. Jukka had placed his hand in the small of her back and ushered her towards Tuomas who had walked ahead of them. He grabbed a cart and waited for the talented cook since he didn't know what she needed.

Tuomas and Jukka made all sorts of jokes finally got the broken girl to laughing. She walked around, with Jukka touching her in some way or another, while Tuomas pushed the cart. She stopped several times but both men told her if she needed something to get it. The boys discovered the cooking was one of the few things that made her open up slightly. They made it back to the hotel where the busses were already idling outside. There was still a little more than 2 hours before they were scheduled to roll out but they had to put up all the groceries. Tuomas left Divinity in the care of the drummer so he could go pack up his things and hers as well.

Jukka knew how his bandmate felt about the woman before him but he couldn't stop himself for falling for her too. She was looking through the groceries thinking about what to do for dinner. The drummer watched as her face lit up when she come up with a great idea and begun getting the ingredients out for tonight's meal. She was sitting on the couch trying not to look at Jukka. He was staring at her and wondered how anyone could honestly hurt the beautiful woman before him.

"Do you play any video games?" Jukka questioned, trying to get to know her a bit

She shrugged, not ever really having gotten the opportunity.

"Hmm, we'll have to find something you like, then. What about card or board games?" He stated

She nodded her head yes making him smile.

"We play alot, especially when we're drunk." He told her making her look at him funny

Her exression made him chuckle softly. She really did have the cutest expressions! Sometime later Tuomas boarded with his carry on bags and one small bag that didn't look like it held more than a few changes of clothes. After putting his bags up, Tuomas brought the small bag up front with him.

"Enkeli, I packed up your stuff. Your hotel room is..... it looks like someone held a boxing match in it. You didn't seem to have much." Tuomas stated making the girl look down, "Is that all you brought?"

She nodded before silently asking for a piece of paper. Tuomas quickly found one of his notebooks that still had plenty of pages and brought it to her as well as a pen. She wrote that she didn't own much more than that where her and Evan were staying.

"The next time we get some time off, you're going shopping." Tuomas told her as the rest of the band boarded the bus

"What about shopping?!" Anette questioned, sitting down next to the keyboardist

"Next chance we get, you need to take Divinity clothes shopping." The tall Finn explained to the shorter Swede

"Sounds like fun! We can go get manicures and pedicures and get our hair done!" Anette bounced in her seat, excited at the idea of getting some "girl time"

Marco headed to the back while Emppu sat on the floor looking around at everyone. Finnish men seemed to bottle their emotions and problems inside but Emppu felt he needed to say something about the previous night's... incident. Tuomas noticed the Elf guitarist was trying to say something and kind of baited him to speak.

"Well, I don't know if anyone has talked about last night. But I think we need to." Emppu finally blurted out as Marco came back up front

"We did what we had to do. He could have killed her!" Jukka piped up

Tuomas noticed Divinity had run her hand over her neck instinctively.

"I think you guys took it too far. He got the point before you started breaking his bones." Anette piped up

It took them all by suprise when Divinity began to vigorously shake her head no. Marco asked her what she meant so she began scribbling feverishly.

There've been several incidents that he damn near killed me. He's even spent a few nights in jail. He'll never get the point, he's violent and controlling. I can't count how many times he's told me if I ever left him he'd kill me.

When she finished writing, Jukka took the notebook from her to read what she'd written. He passed it on to Tuomas who read it and passed it along for everyone to read. Anette gave the younger woman a sad smile.

"See, what we did wasn't too much! From the sound of it, it wasn't enough!!" Emppu stated making Tuomas chuckle

"Well, we're taking out a Temporary Restraining Order on him. He's not supposed to be within a hundred yards of you." Marco stated, trying to ease her pain but she only broke out into silent laughter

The entire group looked at her like she had lost it. She shook her head in disbelief. Were they really that naive to think that would stop him? If he really wanted her there wasn't much any of them could do about it! Marco handed her the notebook again for her to write her thoughts on.

If he wants me he'll stop at nothing. TRO's don't do shit. By the time the cops come he's done his damage and I'm visiting another hospital.

Marco took the notebook from her and read over her statement.

"We're adding more security and we don't want you going anywhere without at least one of us. We want you to share a room with one of us, too, for added security. Every single roadie knows what he looks like and will keep a close eye on things to make sure he doesn't sneak around and get back stage." Marco told her, making just about everyone else look confused

She only shrugged still not believing their efforts would really make a difference. It was nice these people were trying. No one else ever seemed to put this much effort into trying to help her and the gesture was not lost. If they only knew how many times she'd tried to get away. The last time was the final time, because he brought her to the brink of death when he finally caught up to her. After that incident she resigned herself to the fact that this was the way of life.

Everyone dropped the topic and sort of dispersed to their bunks or a book. She sat up front and stared out the window. Thoughts of her past and Evan plagued her mind. She was so lost in her thoughts she didn't realize someone was kneeling by her side. His gentle caress brought her out of her thoughts and made her snap her head to the owner of the hand. She found Jukka looking at her with concern.

"You were crying. Are you ok?" He quietly questioned

She nodded her head yes but the older man wasn't convinced. He moved to sit down next to her

"What's got you crying?" He asked, blue eyes boring into her

She sniffled and shook her head no and looked away from him.

"Kulta I understand you're hesitant to open up and that what you've been through is very painful. You can talk to us, we won't judge you." He told her

She mouthed 'Kulta' and made the 'huh?!' sign to ask what the word meant. The Finn chuckled, and then smiled, before replying.

"Kulta is a Finnish word meaning 'Sweetheart'. It's a term of endearment."

She made the 'Oh' face and hoped he wouldn't ask her any more about why she was crying. A few minutes later he asked if she wanted to watch a movie. He smiled when she shook her head yes so he got up to put in something that would take her mind off whatever it was she was thinking about. He sat back down as soon as the movie began playing and he'd turned off the lights. He sat down next to her again. A few minutes later he noticed she wasn't very comfortable and pulled her down where she was laying on her side with her head in his lap. He started running his fingers through her hair absent mindedly.

By the middle of the movie he looked down to see that she was fast asleep. He smiled and gently stroked her cheek. Figuring he ought to just let her sleep, he slipped her head off his leg and retreated to his own bunk. He wanted to make her feel better but just didn't know where to start or what she needed. What could he do to ease her pain? What could he do to make her not worry about Evan any more? He wanted to scream in frustration!

She woke up alone on the couch. Sitting up, she stretched revealing a scar just below her belly button. Looking at a clock on the wall she realized she needed to get to work on dinner. As she was getting the ingredient out Tuomas made his way to the front of the bus. He stood in the doorway between the front lounge and bunk area and just watched as she worked. It occured to him that she seemed more at ease when she was doing something she was comfortable with or really liked doing.

He cleared his throat making her look over at him. He gave her a smile before grabbing a beer from their new full sized fridge. It was a miracle they were able to get the stove and fridge in without taking away from anything else. He sat down on the couch on the left side of the bus and just watched her. She was chopping up veggies after mixing what looked to be pizza sauce. He wondered how things were going to work out in the end.

"What are you making?" Jukka questioned as he entered the room

Divinity pointed to the unfinished pizzas, not bothering to look up from her work, making the drummer chuckle.

"What about the vegetarian?" He asked, running his hand over her lower back as he moved from her right side to the left

She pointed to the veggies she had yet to chop making the drummer grin then sit down beside the keyboardist. He too was watching the young woman work her magic. Despite all that's happened both men still found her attractive and desirable. Even though some nasty truths had come to light, both men saw the true strength the woman had inside. The Finns began speaking quietly in their native tongue while she continued to work on their dinner. There were about 6 pizzas in total she was making and she hoped the band would like them.

Anette finally emerged from her bunk to see what was happening with dinner. She was intrigued to see the outcome of the pizzas Divinity was making! She had to cook the pizzas 2 at a time but it was ok. Everyone ate and enjoyed their new chef.

_________A FEW WEEKS LATER IN SALT LAKE CITY UTAH_________

Divinity was feeling a bit better. Most of her bruises were gone, most of the cuts, scrapes, and other lacerations were almost completely healed. Her psyche wasn't healed but it would take a very long time to heal that. She was walking around the venue trying to stretch her legs a bit as the band did interviews at the venue. The show wasn't until tomorrow night and after Anette was done she promised to take Divinity out for a "girls day". She felt someone watching her but she tried to shake it off as paranoia. Before long the pretty vocalist was done for the day and went to search for the young girl.

"Hey Divinity, are you ready for a girls day out?" Anette asked when she found the person she was looking for

The girl nodded enthusiastically making the older woman laugh softly. Anette linked arms with her new companion and led her out to an awaiting limo. While the pair of ladies were out, Tuomas sat down with the drummer to discuss some things such as how they each felt about Divinity. It isn't in Finnish nature to discuss things like this but Tuomas felt the need to have this discussion so that they didn't cause her any more suffering or pain. They were each very attracted to the young girl and each wanted to claim her. Neither wanted to fight over her so they found themselves stuck in a dilema. Until Jukka tentatively suggested they share her. Tuomas thought it over for a few minutes before relenting and stating that it was the best idea they'd come up with. That is if she was even remotely interested. Which neither man figured she really was after what she'd been through with Evan.

Divinity had never been as pampered as she was in the spa with Anette. It was hard to communicate with the vocalist since she couldn't speak. Much to both ladies' delight, the spa had a translator on staff and offered her services so the pair could talk easier. Divinity looked to Anette as not only a friend but someone she could talk to about just about anything. Even though the vocalist didn't really understand what her new friend had gone through she tried to give her the best advice she could. They talked about fashion, make up, food, music, and even the rest of the band. It surprised Anette when the girl seemed more interested in Tuomas and Jukka than the others.

After the spa treatments, mud bath, sauna, chemical peel, they were treated to manicures and pedicures. Divinity had never had any of this done before, although her friend knew it without her having to say it. Both women were in very good spirits when they left the spa and went on to a shopping spree. Before Anette had left to find Divinity, Tuomas had handed his credit card over to the Swede and stated that anything Divinity needed or wanted was on him. Anette smiled, figuring out just how the band leader felt about the girl in question. She nodded to him before turning and walking away.

By the time they were done, the young girl had a whole new wardrobe! She couldn't believe how much stuff she now had! Anette had confessed that Tuomas had bought it all for her which made the girl blush. When they made it back to the hotel they were staying at Tuomas and Emppu were standing in the lobby. The pair of Finns informed the 2 ladies to be ready at 8pm sharp because everyone was going out to dinner. Anette nodded to let the boys know she heard as they headed up to their rooms. Divinity was sharing a room with Tuomas, although they slept in separate beds.

Setting all her bags down she still couldn't believe how much stuff Anette insisted on buying for her, even if it was with Tuomas' money and instruction! She plopped down on the bed and was nearly asleep when her roommate quietly entered the room. He sat on his bed and just watched her. There was something still bothering her although she wouldn't out right say anything. It bothered him knowing she still wasn't opening up about something. He sighed heavily before turning the TV on and the volume down to let her get a nap in before the evening's festivities.

Tuomas had woken up the sleeping girl about an hour before they were set to leave for dinner. When she was more awake he told her that he was getting ready in Jukka's room so that she would have their room all to herself as she got ready. She grinned at the thoughtful gesture. Once he had left with the clothes he was wearing this evening she padded to the bathroom to take a shower. Anette had insisted she buy some very nice dressed, although she was sure the vocalist didn't know she'd need one so soon, and was very grateful that she had. Taking a deep breath she dug through her new clothes and finally chose this dress:

She felt a wee bit uncomfortable in it because she had never needed to wear such a fancy dress. That and the fact that both her step-father and Evan had drilled into her head how ugly and worthless she was. They had made her believe she wasn't worth anyone's time or love & affection. Taking a deep breath she began to dry and brush her hair, leaving it straight and down. She did a very minimalist make up (since she didn't know much about applying make up anyways, only what Anette had told her). Satisfied with her appearance, especially since she didn't think she looked good anyway, she grabbed the small black sequined "evening bag" and put her make up and room key in it.

Everyone was meeting downstairs so she slowly made her way to the hotel lobby. Everyone but Anette was already there waiting the 2 ladies. Marco's jaw dropped when his eyes landed on the shy girl they'd taken in. Seeing the bassists reaction, everyone turned to see what he was looking at. When she noticed the 4 guys looking at her funny she blushed deeply. None of them could believe that the young woman standing before them was the same one that had been to the ER just weeks ago for the trauma she suffered at the hand of her boyfriend.

"Divinity, Kulta, you look simply stunning." Marco finally stated making the woman blush even more

"Ah, I was hoping you'd wear that dress. As I suspected it looks marvelous on you!" Anette said as she walked up to the group and pulled the girl into a tight hug

Tuomas held his arm out for Divinity to take and was pleasantly suprised when she did. Emppu held his arm for Anette to take while Marco and Jukka trailed behind. They had rented a limo for the evening and let the ladies slowly climb in first. Tuomas sat next to Divinity while everyone else fanned out around them. Jukka made sure to get a seat where he could watch her closely. She seemed uncomfortable being dressed up like this although the percussionist thought she looked absolutely stunning. This sort of tight dress really showed the curves of her body exquisitely.

She found herself sitting in between Tuomas and Jukka, when they made it to the restaraunt, although the table was round. The band leader ordered a very nice red wine to go with dinner while everyone else was looking over their menus. The table was quiet, much to Divinity's dismay, for a long while until Ewo arrived. He gave everyone a warm greeting and then found a spot in between Emppu and Anette.

"Divinity, there are a few things we need to discuss." Ewo started making the young girl wonder what was about to happen.

Ewo chuckled understanding his statement made her a bit uneasy and nervous.

"The record label is back-paying you for all the work you've done since you arrived on tour. They understand the circumstances and that you never saw a single penny. They are also authorizing a credit card so that you can get the supplies you need to clean and cook for the band." Ewo told her

She seemed to sigh with relief, still expecting them to tell her to get lost at some point. She gave the tall, blond man a sad smile.

Dinner went very well, everyone seemed in good spirits. Divinity still couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched and it was starting to get to her. It was hard to communicate with everyone without a piece of paper but she tried her best. Anette watched the 2 men on either side of Divinity all through dinner. They seemed to be keeping a very close eye on the girl and it looked like more than just simple concern. Even when they looked over at her she could see the total affection in their eyes. She wondered how things would turn out between them since Jukka was married and she was still recovering from such an awful relationship.

___________SEVERAL MONTHS LATER___________

Her voice was slowly returning, although she still wasn't able to speak. She would make noise when she sneezed, coughed, or made some other noise. Over the last few months she had gotten much closer to both Tuomas and Jukka. Neither man seemed to pressure her into anything. They simply liked spending time with her. Usually they'd watch movies, play board or card games, try different video games, and other things. Of course she liked going out sight seeing with everyone. Marco had started looking at her like a father figure and Emppu seemed to find himself a little sister. Anette had found in Divinity a good friend whom she could go do "girly stuff", as the guys usually called it, with.

Evan was at the furthest part of Divinity's mind as she did what she did best. One evening as she was hanging out with Tuomas and Jukka they began talking about art. She'd always found art fascinating but due to certain circumstances she'd never really gotten the chance to try. On one of their outtings she decided to get some art supplies and just try her hand at drawing and sketching. As the band were wrapping up that night's show, she headed back to the hotel to work more on a particular sketch. It was turning out quite dark but it was always sort of therapuetic for her.

A knock at the door made her look up just in time to see both Tuomas and Jukka stroll in, still very sweaty from the show they'd done. She gave them both a warm smile as she set her sketch book aside to stand up. She opened her arms to give the taller of the 2 a hug and then turned to the shorted man for the same thing. They liked the fact that she was starting to voluntarily touch them like this. Tuomas asked if he could use her bathroom to shower and she nodded her head yes. Both men had brought a change of clothes into her room because they knew this is the first place they'd come when they got to the hotel.

She sat back down to begin working on her sketch once more. Jukka stripped off his sweat-soaked shirt before hopping onto her bed and sitting cross-legged but facing her. He found it fascinating to sit and watch as she sketched whatever came to her mind. The 6'-ish drummer rested his right hand on the small of her back as she was immersed in the sketch she was currently working feverishly on. Taking a chance, he rested his chin on her shoulder. She stopped to look over at him which made him a bit nervous. She gave him a small smile before going back to her sketching. He took a deep breath and then scooted closer to her, pressing his chest into her back. When she didn't move or flinch he grinned to himself.

Before long Tuomas emerged from the bathroom so Jukka took his turn, after asking Divinity first of course, leaving his bandmate and friend with the young woman. She looked at the taller man as water dripped down his chest from his still damp hair. He was wearing nothing more than a pair of black lounge pants that hung low on his hips. He smiled at her before bending forward to dry his hair. She watched with an odd fascination and blushed when he stood up and caught her staring.
