After several long months, and many people trying to convince him there was something shady about Donna, D-Day hit at last. Of course we were across the country so he couldn't be there. Which is probably for the best. Corey decided we should all fly back to "show our support". Thankfully everyone BUT Corey heard the comment I made which made everyone laugh pretty hard. She would still be in the hospital when we got there. We were flying first class and I found myself sitting beside James. I laid my head on his shoulder and before I knew it I was out.

James' light kisses on my forehead roused me from my slumber. Seeing me open my eyes, he informed me that we had arrived in Des Moine. I sighed, unsure what was going to happen. I grabbed my carryon and followed everyone off the plane. Our bags were sent to the hotel while we were forced to head straight to the hospital. On the way, Corey started calling everyone to let them know the newest member of the Taylor family had been born. He told us everyone would show up to see the new little bundle of joy.

Since Corey had stopped off to see Donna first, I immediately headed to the nursery to see this little monstrocity. I asked the nurse which baby belong to Taylor. The kid she pointed out could not be Corey's. So I asked her to clarify. She told me the baby belonged to Donna Mackenroe and Corey Taylor. I nearly started laughing in her face. After taking a picture with my phone, including the name on the basinet where it was laying, I walked back to the waiting room where everyone had gathered.

"Well?" Chris asked

"There's no way in fucking hell that kid belongs to my Dad." I retorted

"And why the hell not? Just because it might not be blue eyed with blond hair doesn't mean it's not mine!" He retaliated

"Well, I guess it could be yours." I stated making him grin like he'd won, "If you were a black Chinese dude."

"WHAT?!" Corey yelled

"Go see for yourself, Rockstar." I stated

He stormed off and everyone turned to me. Giggling, I whipped my phone out to show them the picture. Shawn, being the eldest of the group, was the only one actually trying to suppress his laughter. Everyone else let loose including me. She tried to get him to marry her before the baby was born to entrap him into child support! Suddenly we heard Corey's loud voice screaming at her and we all stopped. Shawn, Mick, and James went to go see what was happening while everyone else stayed with me.

Before long security was escorting my Dad into police custody. If that bitch has lied to get my Dad into trouble that bastard child will never know it's fucking mother! I stormed back into her room where a black Chinese man was leaning down and kissing Donna.

"Listen here you 2-cent whore, if you've done or said something that will cause my Dad serious problems I will fucking K I L L you." I growled at her before the dude walked around and pushed me out of the room making me fall flat on my ass

"Get out you snot-nosed little bitch!" He threatened

"You lay a fucking hand on her again, boy, and I'll make sure you never fucking walk again." Mick growled, making him slink back into the room

"You ok, Little One?" He questioned, helping me up

"I swear to the good Lord, Mick, if he's charged with anything I'll fucking kill her myself." I stated as he escorted me to the rest of the guys who were about to head down to the police station

They were going to hold Corey overnight. I was beyond pissed. It was bad enough we were all right about that little gutterslut but the fact that she had him arrested for getting pissed about her lieing and deceiving is just to fucking much! Oh yes, revenge will most definitely be sweeeeeeeeeeeet. I hope she seriously doesn't think it's coming. The suprise will just add to the effect. Taking a deep breath I walked in with 11 grown men all around me. Clown was trying to barter for Dad's release while I was trying to flirt with one of them to get them to release my Dad. Neither tactic worked unfortunately.

We were told he'd be released tomorrow and to come back at 9am. With nothing better to do, the 'Knot all went home while the Sour crew and me went to the hotel. I was so pissed I was cussing in French the entire ride to the hotel which seemed to amuse the foursome I was with. When we made it to the hotel I went straight to my room. Naturally James wasn't far behind me and slipped into my room as well. He pulled me to him and I screamed into his chest.

A knock at my door made us split apart. To my delight it was Mick! Before I could run into his arms Roy and Shawn strolled in behind him. They wanted to make sure I was ok, especially knowing how we'd been fighting. I didn't know whether to laugh, scream again, or cry. I told the group that I was sad he had to be hurt this way but knew she was poison for everyone. They all agreed and hoped that now perhaps Dad and I could finally reconnect and "get things back to normal" as James so delicately put it.

We hit the road the very next day. Corey was so fucking angry and depressed all at the same time. Shawn told me to give him his space so that he could begin to deal with shit. I completely understood that so James and I spent a lot of time together. A few weeks later we were all out having dinner when Corey called James. Apparently he wanted to join us which they all looked at me. I shrugged before turning back to Roy and the discussion we'd been having.

It didn't take Corey long to meet us where we were. He looked like he hadn't slept in weeks, dark circles under his eyes, and looked like he had lost a little weight. He sat down and looked over at me. As he was opening his mouth to say something, I cut him off.

"I know you didn't want to hear what we were all trying to tell you about Donna. I understand that you wanted to do right by the kid you thought was yours..." I started

"You all were right. She was manipulative and deceitful. I knew it but, well, I guess I was trying to find someone to fulfill our family. You need a mother-figure, even if you are 18." He sighed

He and I moved to a different table so that we could talk in relative peace. I knew James was keeping a very close eye on me and I appreciated the gesture. Corey wanted me to move back in with him but I masterfully told him that living with Jim was probably for the best. He pouted, in true Corey fashion, and said I'd always have a room at his place. We caught up on all that had been happening the last several months, including me going to college through distance learning. He told me how proud he was of me and said if I needed any help he was always there.

It seems we'd patched up our differences and were on good terms again. He asked me about my relationship with James and I really didn't want to answer. What kid really wants to talk to their parents about their relationships? Especially when they're having a relationship with their parents friend or bandmate?! I blushed which made him chuckle. One of the people that the record company had sent on tour with us, Stephanie walked into the restaraunt and I watched as Corey watched her. Then the lightbulb went off in my head! Corey went off to talk with James, probably about our relationship, while I took the opportunity to go and speak with Stephanie.

"Hey Stephanie!" I greeted

"Hey there Kia! How's your Dad holding up?" She questioned

It seemed everyone knew about him and Donna!

"He's been... very depressed and angry. But I suppose those are natural reactions." I told her

"I was very sorry to hear what had transpired. It didn't seem like anyone liked her!" Stephanie chuckled nervously

"Yeah, she was just poison and tried to trap him into marriage so that he would have to support her and that bastard child of hers!" I retorted, "But that's not why I came over."

"Oh?" She asked

"I was wondering if you'd have dinner with me tomorrow night. I don't get to hang out with other ladies often and I have some stuff I need to talk about with a woman." I told her

"Sure! Sounds like fun!" She replied

"Super! I'll text you the restaraunt to meet me at tomorrow, ok?" I smiled up at the woman

"Sounds like a plan! I'll see you tomorrow night." She told me

I walked back to our table grinning like a Cheshire cat. Sitting down, I observed the objects whose lives I was meddling with. She watched him out of the corner of her eye even though she thought she was being secretive about it. Lucky for me, Dad seemed to be keeping a close eye on her as well. All they really needed was a good push. How did I know she'd be good for my Dad? She was a rocker like him, loved tattoos and piercings, understood his job, was easy to talk to, was very beautiful, and most importantly seemed to like everyone for them.

Eventually we headed back to the hotel. Corey was still talking with James so I headed to my room for a long, hot bath. Was what I was trying to do with Stephanie and Corey a good idea? My Dad needs someone who'll make him happy but won't try to change him or cheat on him or any of that bullshit. Stephanie seems really cool, I like her alot. I'm not sure if I really needed a "mother figure" but having someone to talk about girly stuff with would be kinda cool.

The next morning I called around to find an appropriate restaraunt for my Dad and Stephanie. I found this quaint little Italian cafe that I thought would be perfect. Making reservations, I put it under the name "Taylor" before hanging up very satisfied with how things were going. My next move was to order some flowers to be delivered to the table at the restaraunt. Hopefully things would go well and they would realize how perfect they are for one another! The show was tomorrow night so they had time to get to know one another a little bit.

As I bounced my way downstairs, everyone seemed to notice my exceptionally good mood. When asked, I simply shrugged. Tonight my Dad's whole life could change, for the better of course, and I was excited to see how the evening would go. I had already texted Stephanie the restaraunt to be at so all I had to do was get my Dad there. On my way back upstairs, I texted him with the same information. He promised to meet me at the restaraunt. The whole day I was feeling extremely energetic and antsy!!!

**COREY'S POV **

After what Donna pulled on me, I was immensely glad that Kia and I fixed our differences. She even asked me to have dinner with her. I was upset that Donna had tried to sucker me into marrying her just to get me to take care of her and the baby. The baby which she'd deceived me into believing was mine. I want more children, if I find the right woman that is. Even though my date is with my daughter, not trying to sound pervy, I figured I ought to dress up a little. My docs, black jeans, black 1/2 sleeve black shirt with a red tie and a black blazer.

I made my way to the restaraunt, having stopped for a bouquet of black roses on the way. Things seemed to be going ok again even if I was a little lonely. I'm trying to get Jim to get serious about Kia. He deserves a good woman too, after all the bullshit Christina put him through, and I know he'll take excellent care of my daughter. I gave my name to the matre 'd and he ushered me to a table in the back of the restaraunt near a beautiful stone fireplace. The lights were low and it seemed kind of.... romantic. There was a small purse sitting on the table so I figured my daughter had went to the restroom. I'd ordered myself a beer before the owner of the purse returned.

"Corey?" I heard our entertainment specialist Stephanie exclaim

"Stephanie!?!? What are you doing here?" I questioned, very confused

"I was meeting Kia for dinner." She replied

"Me too. Or I thought I was." I chuckled nervously

She had an amazing smile and very pretty eyes.

"Hmm, I think your daughter set us up!" Stephanie laughed too

"Well since your here and I'm here, would you care to have dinner with me?" I asked standing up

"Well.... I guess." She replied smiling

"Would you like these flowers? I'm not sure what you like." I lamely replied

"They're beautiful! These are my favorites!" She gushed, bringing an intense smile to my face

We chatted through the first course. We laughed through the main course. We almost cried through desert. She was so easy to talk to! Unlike the bitch I just left, was really down to earth, seemed to like me for me, and it seemed, through our extensive chat, that we actually had alot in common. Neither of us are very "traditional", we don't have 'traditional' jobs, don't have 'traditional' values, don't look the 'traditional' whatever. Have I mentioned just how cute her laugh is? Or those eyes. Oh man, those eyes are going to get me into trouble!!!

We chatted until the restaraunt closed. I asked her if she wanted to take a walk with me. She gave me a sweet smile and said she'd love to. My heart began beating faster when she touched my arm. Surely I wasn't falling for her already? I mean we've kind of hung out with the rest of the band but we've never really gotten the chance to really get to know one another properly. Perhaps this is the one I've been waiting for, the one who'll really mend the pieces of my shattered heart. Perhaps I should properly court her.

The walk was quiet, even though we were deep in conversation the entire time, but was quite nice. The moonlight seemed to make her dark hair shine and her beautiful skin even more beautiful. As we walked along, absentmindedly making our way back to the hotel, I felt like I'd known this woman all my life. She giggled as I lit her cigarette for her as we walked on. Her eyes really sparkled when she was happy or excited! Before long I had walked her to her room. For the first time in an extremely long time, I felt like a high schooler about to kiss his first girlfriend for the very first time!

I leaned over after she looked from my eyes to my lips and pressed my lips to hers gently. Nothing to....lustful... just sweet and gentle. She blushed as I pulled away.

"I had a great time tonight, even if we were tricked by your crafty daughter." She quietly stated

"I did too. Perhaps we can go out again in the near future?" I asked, feeling very nervous

"I'd really like that. Good night, Corey." She stated, leaning over and kissing my cheek before walking into her dark hotel room

Once her door was shut, I sighed happily and all but skipped to my own room. Even if Kia was very crafty, I did appreciate the gesture. I'd never realized just how amazing Stephanie was. I was going to marry this angel, I know it!
